By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Eligibility and verification

Student accounts are available to verified college students at partner campuses. Business, university, and community accounts are available to organizations we approve. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by harassing others, posting unlawful or misleading content, attempting to circumvent verification, or interfering with the platform's operation. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Requests, offers, and payments between members

Synge is a platform that connects members. When a student posts a request and others respond with offers, any resulting arrangement is between those members. Synge is not a party to those arrangements and is not responsible for the conduct of members, though we work to keep the community trusted and safe.

Business and partner terms

Business and partner participation is subject to approval. Paid plans and add-ons (such as promotions, job postings, and boosts) are billed as described at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated. We may change plans and pricing on a prospective basis.

Content and conduct

You retain ownership of content you submit, and you grant Synge a license to host and display it as needed to operate the Services. You are responsible for the content you post and the interactions you have.

Intellectual property

The Services, including our branding, design, and software, are owned by Synge and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outcomes from member interactions will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Synge will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services or interactions with other members.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the community.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Synge operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
